Service Description

On the morning of Saturday, November 4 (from 9:30-12:30), Contemplative Outreach of Portland will offer a Day of Centering Prayer in Community. The Franciscan Spiritual Center is delighted to host this event. For those of you with an existing contemplative practice (or aspiring to one), this is an opportunity to meet with others and benefit from the expertise of Contemplative Outreach-trained facilitators. If you are unfamiliar with Centering Prayer or want a refresher that will support you going deeper, join us in an adjacent room that is set up for an Introductory Workshop from 9:30-11:30. It will cover an introduction, background, methodology, and the spiritual values inherent in the practice. Then from 11:30-12:30, we will join the community and practice together. The doors open at 9am. The program begins at 9:30 and ends by 12:30pm. We meet in the Willow room (located in Clark Commons) on the former Marylhurst University campus.
