“Your journey is not the same as mine, and my journey is not yours, but if we meet on a certain path, may we encourage each other. “ - Unknown Thousands of people around the world are talking about pilgrimage and will set off on a physical pilgrimage journey this year. You don’t, however, have to leave home to go on a pilgrimage of the heart. During this 8-month Faith Sharing and Retreat Experience we will explore what it means to be a day-to-day pilgrim, looking at your life through the lens of journeying within. Beginning in October, we will explore the notion of “Life as Pilgrimage.” We will use Christine Valters Paintner’s book, The Soul of a Pilgrim, 8 Practices for the Journey Within, as well as optional books on a bibliography provided. We will meet for two hours each month, for eight months, to prayerfully experience and discuss select chapters of Christine’s book. The 2-hour experience will include deep sharing, guest pilgrimage speakers, and shared expressive art experiences including: meditative walks, Visio Divina, Celtic Practices, creative photography and SoulCollage®. Over 8 months on Oct 9, Nov 13, Dec 11, Jan 8, Feb 12, Mar 12, Apr 9, and May 14 (the second Wednesday of each month) 10am-12pm Pacific Time We meet on Zoom. Val Hornburg will facilitate. $195 for the 8 month series. A copy of The Soul of a Pilgrim is required.* Val has set a maximum number of participants for this online pilgrimage in order to achieve group intimacy.
