The Gift of Wonder Evenings

Service Description

This gathering invites participants to rediscover the joy of a more childlike relationship with God. Drawing on the spirit of Aroney-Sine’s work, we will explore creative spiritual practices that engage the senses and invite delight, wonder, and renewed life in our relationship with the Divine. This vision echoes the spirit of Brother Francis, who found joy and sacred meaning throughout creation. The reflections encourage us to journey alongside others, choose joy, and allow space for playfulness and connection. Together, we will open our hearts, minds, and souls to see our relationship with God in a new and life-giving way. Join facilitator Terry Cappiello, an advisory board member and retreat and grief facilitator with the Franciscan Spiritual Center, for an eight-week discussion series on this inspiring book. A retired mental health counselor, special education teacher, and college professor, Terry brings warmth, insight, and depth to each session as participants reflect on how Bishop Curry’s message resonates in their own lives.
