Service Description
For the last three years, Soulful Song has gathered at the Franciscan Spiritual Center for study, contemplation, and meaningful sharing during times of deep change. Our name is inspired by Howard Thurman’s I Will Sing a New Song: “The old song of my spirit has wearied itself out… I must learn the new song for the new needs.” This message continues to guide us as we reflect on the spiritual and social shifts we’re living through—the unraveling of what has been, and the emergence of what is more equitable, compassionate, and sacred. Each month, we draw from Joanna Macy’s The Great Turning as a framework for exploring how this collective transformation meets our own faith and life journeys. Through a blend of ritual, prayer, meditation, poetry, music, dance, reflection, and group sharing, we create a safe and grounded space to stay present to the grace available in these challenging and hopeful times. Soulful Song meets on the third Saturday of each month, January through April. Together, we’ll explore what is stirring in our hearts and how we might engage this time of transition with intention and courage. New participants are warmly welcome. Previous materials will be shared so everyone can enter the circle with ease and connection. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while also supporting our program facilitators and covering essential costs. Standard Programs: Refunds are available if you either cancel your booking via our website or notify us in writing (info@francisspctr.com) 11 days or more before the program’s published start date. Please include your name, program name, and contact information. Special Programs: Some offerings—such as overnight retreats, off-site events, or programs involving outside vendors—may have stricter cancellation deadlines. These will be noted in the program description. Center Cancellations: If the Franciscan Spiritual Center must cancel a program, you will receive a full refund via your original payment method.
