Phoebe's Daughters (In Person)
Women, Service, and the Catholic Church's Future
Available spots
Service Description
In response to an invitation from the Vatican, there is an opportunity to gather, consider, and give feedback as Catholic women and men. The Church is in a historic moment. We have new Church teaching on women to receive and implement. Paragraph 60 of the Synod's Final Document calls the whole Church to recognize women's equal baptismal dignity, to fully implement leadership roles already open to women under canon law and give women's voices and contributions greater place in the life of the Church. Across the globe, Catholics are actively discerning about women's access to diaconal ministry...and your voice matters. Where does Pope Leo stand on women's leadership? What has the Vatican recently shared about the path forward for women? How can ordinary Catholics participate in shaping this synodal chapter of our Church? Join us for an open, hope-filled, and interactive conversation: • Discover insights about the history and charism of the diaconate. • Learn what Paragraph 60 of the Synod's Final Document says and why it matters. • Discover practical ways you may contribute to the Church's discernment. This free program facilitated by Tanya Rybarczyk is both a presentation and an invitation. Tanya will be hosting this program both in-person and via Zoom, with separate dates. Please ensure you are signing up for the correct offering.
