Service Description
Advent is a season of preparation—a time to make space for the mystery and joy of Christmas. It can be quiet and contemplative, joyful and celebratory, or something beautifully in between. Across the centuries, people have expressed the season through visual art, music, dance, food, ritual, and story. On this retreat day, we’ll explore our own creative expression of Advent by transforming an unexpected material: children’s board books. With scissors, color, images, words, and imagination, we’ll re-purpose these little books into something uniquely our own—a creative reflection on Advent and the journey toward Christmas. No artistic experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play, reflect, and create. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while also supporting our program facilitators and covering essential costs. Standard Programs: Refunds are available if you either cancel your booking via our website or notify us in writing (info@francisspctr.com) 11 days or more before the program’s published start date. Please include your name, program name, and contact information. Special Programs: Some offerings—such as overnight retreats, off-site events, or programs involving outside vendors—may have stricter cancellation deadlines. These will be noted in the program description. Center Cancellations: If the Franciscan Spiritual Center must cancel a program, you will receive a full refund via your original payment method.
