In Love Is the Way, Bishop Michael Curry—Retired Bishop of the Episcopal Church—invites readers into a profound exploration of love as a transformative force in our lives and in the world. Through the lens of twelve questions he’s often asked—from pulpits to television studios to airport terminals—Curry examines how love can truly make a difference, even amid life’s deepest challenges. Woven throughout are stories of his faith, family, losses, and hope as a descendant of enslaved people and a lifelong advocate for justice and reconciliation. His message is both intimate and universal: that love and hope are not sentimental ideals, but powerful tools for healing and change. Join facilitator Terry Cappiello, an advisory board member and retreat and grief facilitator with the Franciscan Spiritual Center, for an eight-week discussion series on this inspiring book. A retired mental health counselor, special education teacher, and college professor, Terry brings warmth, insight, and depth to each session as participants reflect on how Bishop Curry’s message resonates in their own lives.
