‘Discernment is about listening and responding to that place within us where our deepest desires align with God’s desire.’ Henri Nouwen Discernment is more than making good decisions—it is the ongoing spiritual practice of living in harmony with your deepest values and with God’s presence in daily life. Drawing from the wisdom of Henri Nouwen and the Franciscan tradition, this contemplative retreat offers a spacious, prayerful environment to explore what discernment truly means and how it can shape the way you move through the world. Through guided practices, silence, reflection, and gentle conversation, you will be invited to listen deeply, reconnect with your belovedness, and notice the invitations rising within you. Please bring a lunch, your journal, and whatever questions or desires you carry in your heart. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while also supporting our program facilitators and covering essential costs. Standard Programs: Refunds are available if you either cancel your booking via our website or notify us in writing (info@francisspctr.com) 11 days or more before the program’s published start date. Please include your name, program name, and contact information. Special Programs: Some offerings—such as overnight retreats, off-site events, or programs involving outside vendors—may have stricter cancellation deadlines. These will be noted in the program description. Center Cancellations: If the Franciscan Spiritual Center must cancel a program, you will receive a full refund via your original payment method.
