Franciscan Spiritual Center
Sacred Music Session - June
Service Description
A group of musicians has begun to form. We plan to meet together once a month at the Franciscan Spiritual Center. Our purpose is to practice together, improve our craft, and enjoy one another’s company. The format will be an informal jam session. The musical style will be sacred music. We will begin with some of the music we have used in our Taizé services. All levels of comfort and competence are welcome. All instruments are welcome. This will be an informal, peer-led gathering, but Hoa Nguyen is taking the initiative to get it going. He is a skilled guitarist and a Franciscan Companion who is willing to help others learn the guitar. He is also able and willing (with some advance notice) to transpose music for other instruments. Your children are welcome to join us, but they do need to be accompanied by a parent. We will meet on the second Wednesdays of the month at 6:30pm. This is a free event. Donations will be accepted to support the Franciscan Center’s ministry, including gatherings like this one. If you have questions, contact Hoa at whereishoa@gmail.com or drop by. Second Wednesdays Wednesday, June 12, 6:30pm – 7:30pm This is a free event. We gather in person.
