Service Description

One tradition of the New Year is to resolve to a fresh start. Sometimes we make resolutions or become intentional about habits. We might want to adopt new spiritual practices or puzzle over how best to be a positive presence in the world. This year, more than other years, the invitations can seem to carry more weight. What does 2025 hold? What do you hope it will hold? How do you even figure out what to embark upon? What do sense is coming to an end or a change? Join us for a mash-up of visual discernment and Jungian dream interpretation. We'll make messy, large-scale collage to listen to Spirit's accompaniment in the coming year. Eileen Parfrey is both a spiritual director and co-creator of the Franciscan Spiritual Center’s Spiritual Director Training Program. She is an artist working in clay, collage, and other media. Collage is often the basis for her prayer process and her creative process. Ought prayer be a creative journey? Cost $70 Please bring - your own bag lunch - a journal - glue stick - scissors Friday, January 24, 10am – 3pm Eileen Parfrey will facilitate. This is an in-person event. We meet at the Franciscan Spiritual Center, Willow Room (in Clark Commons). 3162 Furman Drive, Marylhurst, Oregon Maximum class size is 15; minimum is 8.
