St. Vincent de Paul, Salem

St. Vincent de Paul parish is located in Salem, OR. Sister Guadalupe Medina has been providing outreach to the Hispanic community of the parish for two years. Her primary responsibility has been providing classes for parents whose children are enrolled in the Religious Education/Sacramental Program. The classes offered every week are designed to give parents tools to promote spiritual growth and religious education in the home.

"My work with parents at St. Vincent de Paul allows us to exchange the gift of spiritual growth and understanding: from me to them and from them to me. This work also keeps me in touch with the pulse of a parish, which helps to keep all my work better grounded in reality by knowing what is really happening in parishes."
