Come to the Center to spend the day with your needle work companions and stitch your stress away! As participants knit, crochet, cross-stich, needlepoint, quilt or do other sewing project, they will share how needlework uplifts the human spirit and brings the needleworker in touch with her deeper being. Since St. Clare of Assisi was know for her needlework, there will be time to reflect on her spirituality as it relates to our ministry of stiching. The day will include time for reflection, conversation, and solitude all in the midst of doing needlework. As Ellen Birdseye Wheaton shared in 1851, "All my scattering moments are taken up with my needle."
