Rose Haven

Rose Haven is a community intervention center for homeless women and women in transition. Located in Old Town, it provides a safe and respect-filled day center for women of diverse ethnic, racial and social backgrounds. Rose Haven imbues vulnerable women with hope, serving as a catalyst for changing lives. In July 2007, renovation of their building forced Rose Haven to move to an interim space with reduced services. Full services will be restored when they find a new downtown location. Sister Mary Lonergan, OSF, serves as a volunteer at Rose Haven one day a week, providing Bible Study, meditation, prayer, journaling and other programs in spirituality.

"Assisting Rose Haven in their life-sustaining services for the homeless and those needing respite from violence and harassment, is a natural outreach for our Mission and Ministry. For me, it is an honor and a privilege to aid in the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of the many who need healing and hope."
