Spiritual Direction: Individual Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction fosters an individual's personal, intimate relationship with God. It is companionship given to one person (the directee) by another person (the director) which enables the directee to pay more attention to God's presence and activity in his or her life. There are five trained directors at the Center who are available to meet regularly with those persons interested in participating in spiritual direction. Facilitated by staff by appointment, for $50.00 per session.

"I describe spiritual direction as a relationship of companioning in which the experience of everyday affairs can be explored with eyes, ears and heart of faith with the intention of discerning God's presence and action in one's life. The spiritual friendship with my director at the Franciscan Center has been instrumental in helping me to take my head knowledge of God on a journey into my heart. As we listen together with the Spirit, this loving God is the one who gently speaks "direction" and sends me back into my life knowing that through this spiritual companion, Christ has loved and encouraged me to press onward in quest of The Holy."
